Program Calendar

This 4-part program will be scheduled as follows:

Dates to be announced

Module I : Embodyment I — September 2004 will focus on somatic awareness, full body breathing, and grounding as we explore the four noble everyday activities: i.e., standing, sitting, walking, and lying down. Somatic explorations will be interspersed with restorative yoga poses and processes that introduce and evoke core awareness and core movement, dynamic balance, integrity of movement, and harmony with gravity.

Module II : Embodyment II — December 2004 will focus on boundaries and expression as we explore body-centered maps and a language for working with the body and body movement. As well as working with each other through experiential processes, we will discuss and work with creating assessment tools and practices (i.e. yoga postures or movement processes that would suit a particular body structure) that we can use with clients.

Module III : Relationship — March 2005 will focus on creating both a strong personal container in relationship and on creating a safe container for the relationship. We will explore how relationship created disturbances, blocks, and disconnects and how relationship can heal these same disturbances. We will discuss and work with the somatic evocation of bonding, witnessing, and empathy.

Module IV : Energetic Charge — June 2005 will focus on building and modulating energy in order to produce the heat necessary for shift, change, and/or transformation. We will work with processes and techniques that build the participants personal energy as well as learn somatic strategies for working with clients.
